Dr. Sunil Kumar is a graduate from the College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Mannuthy (1983 batch). Dr. Sunil started his career at the Department of Animal Husbandry - Kerala in 1989 and has an experience of more than two decades of service in that department. He has specialized in management and treatment of Dogs, Cats, and Birds and has attended various training programs in small animal medicine and surgery.

Dr. Sunil Kumar updates himself and also share his knowledge on treatment procedures at various International and National veterinary practitioner’s conferences and have made valuable presentations and abstracts regarding this subject. The passion about Wildlife Science motivated him to undergo training in Wild Life Management from Smithsonian Institution, Washington D.C. He is one of among the specialist in treating wild animal, especially large animals like elephant (captive & wild), Bison etc. He is also a tranquilization expert of elephants and is an active member of District Elephant squad, Ernakulam.
